Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has sought to reassure the English Premier League side's football fans that there are currently no plans to leave Stamford Bridge - although he refused to rule out a future move.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Buck pointed out that the football club have a long history at the 105-year-old venue, but admitted that their options for redevelopment are limited by the ground's location.
"There is a lot of history and tradition here at Stamford Bridge," he said. "It's very, very difficult for us to make the philosophical decision that we are going to move on. Certainly we wouldn't leave west London or thereabouts."
Buck added that a switch to a new stadium is "not at the front of [Chelsea's] agenda" and suggested the club are looking to exploit media avenues to generate additional revenue.
Any potential move would be further complicated by the fact that non-profit group Chelsea Pitch Owners holds both the Stamford Bridge freehold and Chelsea's own naming rights.
