English Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore is set to travel to all 20 of the top flight's football clubs to discuss the introduction of stricter financial rules, a report has claimed.
According to the Guardian, Scudamore wants to establish whether clubs welcome recent moves to tighten regulation in a bid to prevent a repeat of the Portsmouth saga which overshadowed much of last season.
Under the new restrictions, teams are required to supply division bosses with information outlining their financial position, including keeping the league up to date with details of tax repayments and the monetary position of shareholders.
Scudamore is also expected to canvas opinion on the possible player salary caps and UEFA's incoming financial fair play rules - the brainchild of president Michel Platini - which threaten to block indebted sides from competing in Europe from 2012.
The English Premier League made further alterations over the summer following the national side's disappointing FIFA World Cup showing, including the imposition of home-grown player quotas.
