Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has voiced frustration at the slow progress of Indian businessman Saurin Shah's mooted buyout of the Lancashire football club.

Speaking to the Sunday Express, the 55-year-old said it is crucial for himself and his players that the parties involved come to a swift resolution on the matter, ahead of the English Premier League's big kick-off on August 14th 2010.

"It has been a considerable time since this consortium has been looking at possibly purchasing the club," he explained. "If you are getting new owners, you want to know what they want to do and how they want to progress."

Allardyce added that Shah's consortium has had enough time to gather the necessary information and complete due diligence and suggested the group should now be "very close" to a final decision.

Earlier this month, AFP reported that Shah and his associates were on the verge of completing a deal, with the value of the English Premier League side estimated at between £35 million and £45 million.
