English football fans are growing increasingly concerned about the rate at which the country's leading football clubs are releasing new replica kits, it has been suggested.
According to BBC Sport, many English Premier League outfits are now adopting new shirts every season, leaving some supporters worried that their opinions are not being taken into account and that they are not getting value for their money.
"Our aim going forward was to continue to meet demand for greater variety and choice in all of the merchandise ranges that we offer, including replica kit," a Tottenham Hotspur spokesman explained.
However, Tottenham Supporters' Trust chairman Bernie Kingsley claimed the London side have failed to take the thoughts of the group into account, hinting that "revenue streams" remain the top priority.
Earlier this month, research carried out by Virgin Money found that some football clubs had been forced to slash the cost of tickets and replicas in a bid to offset the after-effects of the economic slump.
