Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder and coach Tony Parkes has urged the team's football fans to be patient despite the ongoing speculation surrounding Mumbai businessman Saurin Shah's interest in the English Premier League football club.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, the 61-year-old whose most recent involvement in the game was as caretaker manager at Blackpool claimed that the board of directors will only sell if it is convinced of Shah's intentions.
"Ever since I have been connected to the club, the people in charge have always had the club's best interests at heart and that is the same today," he said. "Everything will be done to make sure it is right for [Blackburn Rovers], you can be sure of that."
Some football fans have become concerned due to Shah's apparently low profile and he is reportedly an obscure figure even in his home country.
Last month, the entrepreneur signalled his intention to buy the football club for an estimated fee of around £25 million.
