Brighton and Hove Albion have announced that the naming rights to their new stadium have been bought by financial services giant American Express.
The club's board of directors and football fans alike have been hoping to move to a new home since the controversial sale of the Goldstone Ground in 1997 and work on the ground - situated near the village of Falmer - began in December 2008.
"It's a proud day for me, the directors and everyone involved in the club," chairman Tony Bloom told BBC Sussex. "For American Express to be on board is a big honour for the club and the city."
The stadium has been in the pipeline since 1998, but a lengthy dispute over its location caused significant delays in obtaining planning permission from the local authority.
Earlier this month, recently-promoted Blackpool outlined plans to build a temporary stand at their Bloomfield Road ground in time for the English Premier League season.
