A church in the Dorset town of Dorchester is preparing for an invasion of football fans this summer, as it opens its doors to screen FIFA World Cup matches.
Organisers expect a family-friendly atmosphere at Dorchester Community Church and say they are happy to welcome those who are not a regular part of the congregation, according to the Dorset Echo.
"We believe in community and love the idea of everybody being able to come together across the age ranges to enjoy what will dominate every conversation over the next few weeks," church leader Roger Frapwell told the newspaper.
Mr Frapwell, a self-confessed Arsenal supporter, admitted the scheme will give him "a good excuse to watch the games" and added that both England and Brazil's matches will be shown to entertain neutrals.
Last month, the Bristol Evening Post reported that football followers in the area had organised a petition urging the local authority to turn the city's Millennium Square into a dedicated fan zone for the duration of the tournament.
