The Red Knights consortium aiming to take control of Manchester United has agreed terms for a takeover bid, according to a report.
Sky Sports News has claimed the group has reached agreement on what returns individual members will receive should the deal go through, although a concrete date for any offer is yet to be decided upon.
Despite the insistence of the Glazer family that the Old Trafford club is not for sale, the Red Knights are reportedly confident that they can submit a proposal with a realistic chance of success over the summer.
In March, the investors issued a statement saying no bid would be made prior to the end of the English Premier League season so as not to distract the players, but the Manchester United Supporters Trust has called on fans to step up their protests at the end-of-season encounter with Stoke City.
Earlier this week, the Independent Manchester United Supporters Association accused stewards of adopting heavy-handed tactics to suppress peaceful anti-Glazer demonstrations.
