Darragh MacAnthony, owner of recently-relegated Championship club Peterborough United, has sought to reassure fans of his commitment to the side.
Overseas property tycoon MacAnthony's personal finances have come under scrutiny over recent months as his business interests have struggled, but the Irishman says he will continue to invest in Peterborough United.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, he admitted his firm had experienced difficulties, but said: "I've been prudent with my own money and will continue to put money into the football club."
It has also been reported that Cambridgeshire Police are currently investigating threats made against MacAnthony, believed to have come from disgruntled customers. However, the 34-year-old insists he will "invest whatever it takes to win League One".
Earlier in the season, the chairman claimed "tapping up and disloyalty from within" had ravaged team morale after manager Darren Ferguson left London Road, suggesting the Scotsman had tried to tempt some of his old players away.
