Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou has said he will ask current boss Avram Grant to stay with the south coast club beyond the end of this season.

Speaking to Soccernet, Andronikou admitted that Grant was likely to be in demand after guiding the team to their second FA Cup final in three years, but said he had not "given up hope" of persuading the Israeli to remain at Fratton Park.

The administrator praised Grant for his performance since assuming the Portsmouth hotseat, but added: "I couldn't blame him if he took up one of the offers likely to now come his way."

Saddled with a reported debt of £85 million, the side were docked nine points after entering administration last month and their relegation from the English Premier League was confirmed after Burnley took all three points from their clash with Hull City.

Portsmouth defender Ricardo Rocha has claimed the players are not concerned about any bonuses due to them after booking their place at Wembley next month.
