Portsmouth players 'will appear in FA Cup final'

Recently-deposed Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has claimed the crisis-hit club will be able to reach agreements so key players can feature in next month's FA Cup final.

The South Coast side booked their place at Wembley after beating Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final on Sunday (April 11th), but there had been concerns that qualification could trigger clauses in existing transfer deals which would force them to stump up more cash.

However, Goal.com reports that Storrie told ITV Sport: "I think we'll be able to sort those things out. I don't think there'll be issues on any of those."

Storrie has become something of a controversial figure this season and his management of the club has been the target of fierce criticism from Portsmouth fans. He was officially replaced by former FA man David Lampitt last week.

Following months of financial strife, Portsmouth's relegation from the English Premier League was confirmed when Hull City lost to fellow strugglers Burnley over the weekend.
