Crystal Palace are reportedly set to become the subject of a takeover bid from American rap star P Diddy.

The Championship outfit went into administration in January and currently sit close to the relegation zone, level on points with Scunthorpe United in 21st place, having been docked ten points.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle said he would welcome a bid from the musician, adding that he "would willingly fly to New York to meet him to discuss a purchase".

Diddy, real name Sean Combs, is reportedly worth around £360 million.

The 40-year-old entrepreneur established his Bad Boy record label in 1993 and also owns clothing line Sean John.

Rumours surrounding the Crystal Palace deal intensified when the Selhurst Park club offered one of the rapper's albums as a prize for joining its sponsorship scheme.

It was reported earlier in the week that administrator Guilfoyle had extended the deadline for bids to March 26th.
