Chairman Dean Hoyle has completed his buyout of Huddersfield Town, according to a statement from the club.
The Wakefield-born millionaire, who became majority shareholder and chairman at the Galpharm Stadium in June last year, is now the 100 per cent owner of the League One outfit.
Having sold his shares to Hoyle, former owner Ken Davy has stepped down as a director and been appointed life president of the club.
Despite the completion of the deal, Hoyle is still waiting to receive his share of Kirklees Stadium Development, the company that owns the Terriers' ground.
The new owner is due to receive a 40 per cent holding in the firm from Davy's Huddersfield Sporting Pride vehicle, but the transfer has not yet been approved by Kirklees Council.
Meanwhile, the West Yorkshire side are seeking a new sponsor to purchase the naming rights to the stadium.
The club's current deal with pharmaceutical firm Galpharm is due to expire this year and a replacement must now be found.
