Supporters of Tranmere Rovers have unveiled a scheme to support manager Les Parry by raising funds for a new signing at Prenton Park.
Members of the Tranmere and Wirral Football Supporters Trust are asking shareholders to donate a number of shares to its "Les Aid" campaign, the Wirral News reports.
The holdings will then be purchased by fans for the special price of £3 per share, with all proceeds being donated to the fund.
Chairman of the supporters trust Ben Harrison told the newspaper: "We all know football finances are tight across all divisions and Tranmere Rovers are no different.
"We are asking fans to support this initiative and help Les and the club maintain our League One status."
The trust is hoping to raise enough money for the Birkenhead club to make an addition to the squad before the deadline for loan signings expires at the end of March.
Tranmere Rovers, who have been languishing in the bottom three of League One since August, face Leyton Orient at home on Saturday (February 20th).
