A new consortium of investors has taken over at Notts County after buying the majority shareholding of chairman Peter Trembling.
According to reports, the group is led by former Lincoln City chairman Ray Trew and will set out its plans for the League Two club at a press conference on Monday (February 15th).
The takeover means that both Trembling and director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson will leave their positions, although the former Manchester City manager is expected to maintain a non-active role as joint life president of football at Meadow Lane.
In a statement posted on the Notts County website, Trembling announced that he was "passing the baton over to people who can take this football club forward".
He added: "It is a sad day for me to be leaving such a great club, but I am pleased to be leaving it in such capable hands."
Chief executive Gary Townsend will also step down with immediate effect.
The Nottingham side travel to west London for an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Fulham on Sunday.
