The Football League has confirmed that Crystal Palace have been docked ten points after entering administration.

Neil Warnock's side have fallen from ninth to 21st in the Championship table due to the penalty, which a league statement said would apply "with immediate effect".

Despite the current financial upheaval at Selhurst Park, administrator Brendan Guilfoyle revealed yesterday (January 28th) that Warnock has decided to stay on as manager.

Crystal Palace were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle United on Wednesday night and are expected to sell star players such as the highly-rated winger Victor Moses in order to raise funds.

Meanwhile, former chairman Ron Noades has said that he would be interested in a return to the troubled south London club.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he suggested that he would consider investing as part of a consortium rather than as the outright owner.

Noades, who was the club's chairman between 1981 and 1998, told the newspaper: "I think you need a lot more money now than when I was last there."
