Rotherham United have ended their search for a new stadium site after securing land in the centre of the South Yorkshire town.
Chairman Tony Stewart said that the club plan to build their new ground on the former Guest and Chrimes foundry site, which he described as "ideal" for the League Two outfit.
After failing to agree terms with the owners of their Millmoor ground in 2008, Rotherham United were forced into a temporary move to the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield.
"We have been working hard on the new stadium project behind the scenes for over 18 months now," Stewart told the club website.
The chairman also claimed that the development will have "significant regeneration benefits" for Rotherham.
According to reports, the new ground will hold 12,000 fans and cost approximately £20 million to construct, with the work expected to take about two years.
The Millers are currently third in League Two, 11 points behind leaders Rochdale with three games in hand.
