Tony Fernandes has indicated that he could still put money into West Ham United, despite David Gold and David Sullivan taking control of the club earlier this week.
The businessman, who is chief executive of AirAsia and team principal of Lotus F1, was one of several parties interested in the east London outfit and had been willing to buy the club outright.
However, Gold and Sullivan have left the door open by acquiring a 50 per cent holding and publicly inviting other investors, including Fernandes, to take the remaining stake in the club.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, the Malaysian described West Ham United as "the unpolished diamond of the English Premier League".
Asked whether he would consider joining Gold and Sullivan behind the scenes at Upton Park, Fernandes added: "I would have to see whether they share the same vision I'm never one to say no to anything, especially as I'm very passionate about the club."
