Celtic and Rangers are on the cusp of securing a new football sponsorship deal with beer brand Tennent's, according to media reports.
An agreement between the Old Firm and the C&C Group-owned brewer is expected to be announced imminently, with the Tennent's logo set to replace Carling on the clubs' respective shirts ahead of the 2010-11 Scottish Premier League season.
According to the Daily Record, the deal could be worth up to £1.5 million a year for the rival teams.
Tennent's is already in negotiations with the Scottish Football Association over the possibility of extending its £1 million shirt sponsorship agreement with Scotland's national side, which has been in place since 2006.
And it is possible that further major sponsorship announcements involving the brand could be made in the coming months, with the Irish Independent reporting in December that C&C is rumoured to be planning an increase in the amount of money it spends on sport in Scotland.
