West Bromwich Albion are set to promote an aid appeal for the victims of the Haiti earthquake during their match against Newcastle United tonight (January 18th).
The Championship outfit, who currently have no permanent shirt sponsor and use match-by-match deals instead, will unveil a shirt bearing the logo of the Disasters Emergency Committee's Haiti Appeal for the game at St James' Park.
Club chairman Jeremy Peace also revealed that each of the match shirts will be auctioned off after the fixture, with all proceeds being donated to the campaign.
"We felt we were in the perfect position to utilise the flexible nature of our shirt sponsorship and react immediately to help raise money for the people of Haiti," he explained.
The Baggies have agreed one-match shirt sponsorship deals with betting firms Victor Chandler and Blue Square already this season.
Recent estimates have indicated that up to 200,000 Haitians may have been killed by the earthquake, which struck the Caribbean nation last Tuesday.
