Liverpool's commercial director Ian Ayre has confirmed that the club will aim to sell the naming rights to their new stadium in Stanley Park.
Although work is yet to begin on the ground, Liverpool City Council leader Warren Bradley recently told the BBC that the Reds are close to securing the necessary finance for the project.
Speaking to Goal.com, Ayre indicated that talks with prospective partners over a naming rights deal are already underway.
"Naming rights is now an accepted part of building any new footballing venue in the world it would be crazy of us not to tap into that opportunity," he told the website.
Ayre said that Liverpool intend to find a global partner with the "right cultural fit" for the club before branding the stadium.
Situated next to the club's current Anfield home, the new ground will have an estimated capacity of 60,000 and has been named as one of the host venues for England's 2018 FIFA World Cup bid.
