Notts County executive chairman Peter Trembling has said that 14 different parties have expressed an interest in making an investment at Meadow Lane.
Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, he said that the club hope to secure new finance as soon as possible following his management buyout and the departure of coach Hans Backe.
Trembling also told the newspaper that he has received 30 applications for the vacant manager's position but does not plan to appoint anyone before Boxing Day.
On the subject of fresh investment, he said: "I don't want to get people over-excited, but we have received interest from 14 organisations - two or three of those are serious players.
"The quicker we can get some money into the club the better."
Last week it was revealed that director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson had flown to Spain to conduct talks with potential investors in the League Two outfit.
Other reports indicated that the former Manchester City and England manager was on the verge of leaving Notts County due to broken promises from former owners Munto Finance.
