Leicester City fan nears completion in stadium quest

Leicester City supporter Oliver Hawke has almost completed his personal mission to visit every Football League ground in the country.

According to the Leicester Mercury, the 31-year-old has watched matches at 89 of the 92 league grounds.

However, his attempt to add number 90 to the list was thwarted on Saturday (December 19th), when the Foxes' game at Cardiff City was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

As well as the Cardiff City Stadium, Mr Hawke has yet to experience Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium and the Liberty Stadium, home of Swansea City.

Commenting on his interest in visiting football grounds, he told the newspaper: "It is my hobby and how I like to spend my money. It makes for a really good day out.

"I love clubs that stay on their original ground, adding to and improving it rather than moving to a completely different site."

Cardiff City issued an apology to fans after Saturday's game was called off, explaining that the undersoil heating system at their new £50 million stadium is not yet fully operational.
