Norwich City have submitted a second request for Colchester United to increase the number of tickets for visiting fans at next month's League One clash.
The Canaries make the trip to Essex on Saturday January 16th, but so far only 1,900 tickets have been made available to travelling supporters at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Speaking to the Norwich City website, Carrow Road chairman Alan Bowkett said that although the club expect demand for tickets to exceed the allocation, Colchester United have refused to accommodate their request.
He commented: "We had asked if Colchester could give us more than the 1,900 tickets they have allocated us, but disappointedly they have confirmed they will not be making any more tickets available."
The ticket dispute is likely to put further pressure on the relationship between the two clubs, which has been strained since Norwich City were humiliated in a 7-1 home defeat to Colchester United on the opening day of the season.
Paul Lambert then left the Essex club to take over as manager at Carrow Road, prompting his former employers to report Norwich City to the Football League for a breach of regulations and misconduct.
