Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal plan to submit a claim for damages over the injury suffered by Robin van Persie.
The Dutch striker, who is expected to be out of action until April at the earliest, sustained ankle ligament damage while on international duty last month.
Wenger said that Arsenal will seek compensation from the Dutch Football Federation after claiming that the injury was deliberately misdiagnosed by Holland's medical staff at the time.
The Gunners boss commented: "We are working on this with our lawyers at the moment and we are definitely going for it.
"I expect financial compensation for the damage it can make to the championship [prospects] and the salary involved."
According to the Daily Telegraph, Wenger has also called for an end to international friendlies during the regular season, claiming that such matches are arranged simply to make money or for "political purposes".
Despite Van Persie's injury, Arsenal reignited their English Premier League title challenge with a 2-1 victory at Liverpool on Sunday (December 13th).
