Fans prepare to question Rangers board members

Rangers supporters will have the opportunity to grill members of the board at the club's annual general meeting (AGM) tonight (December 7th).

Stephen Smith, chairman of the Rangers Supporters' Trust, said that many fans are "extremely concerned" about ongoing financial issues and fear for the future of the Scottish Premier League outfit.

It was recently confirmed that Rangers have debts of £31 million and owner Sir David Murray is yet to find a suitable buyer to take over at Ibrox.

Commenting on the AGM, Mr Smith said: "I think it will be tangibly different from previous years. Those there are going to be looking for answers."

Graham Duffy, the Glaswegian businessman now based in Florida, recently unveiled plans for a buyout of Rangers that would involve underwriting the club's debts and installing a fan membership scheme.

However, South African-based tycoon Dave King, another expatriate Scotsman, has also been strongly linked with a takeover at the club.
