Middlesbrough have offered supporters a refund on ticket prices if the club can put together a run of victories after Christmas.
Every fan who purchases a half-season ticket at the Riverside Stadium before December 21st will get their money back, providing the Championship side win their first four league games from Boxing Day onwards.
Anthony Emmerson, head of supporter services at Middlesbrough, described the deal as "a unique offer that we don't think any club has attempted before".
He added: "It's really a case of if we get 12 points, the fans get 12 games - free!"
The four matches in question will see Gordon Strachan's side entertain Scunthorpe United at the Riverside on Boxing Day, travel to Barnsley two days later, play Swansea City at home on January 9th and head to Sheffield United the following week.
However, Strachan is yet to record a victory at Middlesbrough since taking over from Gareth Southgate in October.
The north-east club have drawn their last two games and travel to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday (December 5th).
