Fans of Cardiff City will see their season ticket prices frozen for the next five years under a new scheme unveiled by the Championship club.

According to chairman Peter Ridsdale, the first 10,000 supporters to buy a season ticket for next season before December 31st will be able to renew their purchase for the same price until the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

Ridsdale said that the deal is designed to repay Cardiff City fans for their loyal support and insisted that prices will not increase even if the club is promoted to the Premier League.

"Our fans have got behind us time and time again. Now its time to give them something back with a groundbreaking offer," he stated.

The season ticket deal could also boost the club's promotion drive this season by bringing in about £4 million, the Western Mail reports.

Cardiff City are currently second in the Championship table and will go top if they beat Nottingham Forest at home on Sunday (November 1st), with leaders Newcastle United not playing until Monday night.
