Football Technology and Stadia
Hereford United have decided to proceed with plans to rebuild some terracing in their stadium after it failed a health and safety inspection.
Tests from officials revealed that the Blackfriars End at the club's Edgar Street stadium failed to meet expectations and that it would have to be closed for the upcoming season.
The club has thus decided to continue with plans to create a new 2,000-capacity terrace after a meeting with their landlords and Herefordshire Council.
A club statement revealed: "The configuration of the terrace would enable seats to be installed if required at a later date but we believe that many supporters still prefer to stand.
"It will also incorporate facilities and viewing platforms for disabled supporters and those accompanying them, new toilets and canteens."
Meanwhile, the League Two club also recently released photos of their new home strip, which features the name of football sponsors Cargill on the front and that of Admiral, which has just agreed a football sponsorship kit deal.
