Two brothers have become the youngest owners of a football club in the UK after being given the reins to Dorchester Town by their father, the Daily Mirror reports.

Tom Mitchell, 21, and his 18-year-old brother Josh have been handed the Blue Square South league outfit by their father Eddie.

Younger brother Josh revealed that it represented an opportunity to put the skills they have learnt playing computer games to good use in a real-life situation.

He told the publication: "My mates can't believe we have a football club of our own. We used to play Football Manager on PCs in our shed at home, now we are playing it for real - it is completely bizarre.

"It is such a great opportunity and we are both determined to give it a full go and make a success of the club."

However, the move could lead to some tricky decisions for manager Roy O'Brien as Tom is also a member of the club's playing squad.

Father Eddie was recently appointed as the chairman of Bournemouth after buying a 50 per cent shareholding in the League Two club.
