Histon have received a football finance boost after being given some funds to spend on the playing squad by their football sponsor.
Manager Steve Fallon has told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire that the extra transfer funds have been provided by club sponsor Tony Roach.
The funding is vital for the club as there was a fear that they could have to start the upcoming season with fewer players than they had last season.
Fallon said: "A budget's been set and whether we want one player, two players, three players or four players is down to us.
Chairman Gareth Baldwin added on the club's website that the club had been especially hit financially by Setanta falling into administration.
He explained: "It's been a tough summer for us with money very tight and the loss of Setanta has made us tighten our belts even further in case there is no TV money this season."
Histon reached the third round of the FA Cup last season with wins over Swindon Town and Leeds United, only to lose to Swansea City.
