Manchester City have sealed a partnership with television production company Endemol Sport in a bid to try and improve their following on a global level.
A multi-year agreement has been agreed by the pair, which will make provisions for a redevelopment of the club's website and the creation of some television ideas.
Firstly, the website is to be available in both English and Arabic in a move to appeal to a Middle Eastern audience, an obvious target due to the origins of Manchester City's owner.
The club also plans to target Latin American and Asian audiences, but brand and marketing director at Manchester City David Pullan believes success on the pitch is also vital for the strategies to have a chance of paying off.
He said: "At the top of the list is providing a positive experience to existing fans. The second priority is to create a point of entry into Manchester City and what it stands for.
"We want to target certain markets, first in Arabic and English and by the end of the year in three or four other languages."
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the ruling family in Abu Dhabi, is the club's owner, while Khaldoon Al Mubarak is chairman.
Clubs including Real Madrid and local rivals Manchester United will be among Manchester City's biggest challengers in the global market.
