Newcastle United fans could be kitted out in yellow at various points next season as the Championship club have revealed a new away strip.

Defender Steven Taylor has modelled the new away kit, which consists of a striped yellow shirt, yellow shorts and striped yellow socks.

The kit is set to go on sale on July 23rd, with fans taking a liking to the strip having the ability to pre-order now with a 20 per cent discount.

However, the kit, which is made by adidas, may not be loved by all Newcastle United fans.

Supporter Stephen Buchan said: "It's awful. It reminds me of a deckchair on Blackpool beach.

"At a time when Newcastle United need all the money they can get, they go and release a kit that Mike Ashley would probably struggle to sell at rock bottom price in one of his cheap clothing outlets."

Newcastle United will continue to have Northern Rock as their football sponsors next season, with the company having their name emblazoned across the front of the new shirt.
