Reading may have the world's most devoted football fan as supporter Charles McLeod is a regular traveller to the Madejski Stadium from Canada.
The 62-year-old told the Daily Mirror that he is a season ticket holder at the Championship side and made the 7,000-mile round trip on numerous occasions last season.
He watched 17 of the club's matches and racked up 120,000 miles, which ended up costing him a total of £14,000.
Mr McLeod told the publication that he did manage to save some money due to staying with family members on some trips.
"I've now renewed my season ticket for 2009/10. I usually time my trips so I can see two games in a week. What helps is that I've a brother and sister who live near Reading so I don't pay accommodation - the air ticket is my main expense," he explained.
Reading were relegated from the English Premier League in the 2007/08 season -despite beating Derby County 4-0 in their final fixture - as Fulham defeated Portsmouth to stay up.
