Sony has commemorated its partnership with FIFA for next year's World Cup in South Africa by launching its 'Soccergraphy' campaign.

Budding photographers from around the world are being encouraged to enter a competition, with the winner gaining a trip to the finals.

The challenge is open to creative interpretation, with the criteria being that a photo must revolve around the topic of football and that at least one ball must be featured in the image.

There is both an amateur and a professional category, with winners of each gaining the chance to head to South Africa next year.

Meanwhile, the two winners will also see their creations published alongside the work of world renowned photographers in a specially-created photo book.

Steve McCurry, Jeff Hutchens, Michael Freeman and Michael Yamashita are just some of the photographers adding their work to the book.

Adidas, Visa and Coca Cola are also among the official partners of the tournament, while Budweiser, Continental and Castrol are some of those to have football sponsorship deals with the 2010 World Cup.
