Hull City have gone international to secure their new football sponsorship deal, according to the club's chairman Phil Duffen.
Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside, Duffen revealed that it is a "multinational company" that has replaced the Hull-based Karoo as the club's football sponsor.
Karoo is a product of Kingston Communications, which holds the naming rights to the English Premier League outfit's stadium.
However, with clubs seeking to expand their global position, Hull City are the latest to look further afield for investment.
Duffen told the radio station: "It's a globally dominant business. It's a fantastic brand and will be best in class in terms of this brand relationship in the Premier League."
The new sponsor will see its name emblazoned on both the club's home and away shirts for the 2009/10 season and then possibly longer, depending upon the length of the agreement.
Hull City escaped relegation by one place in the English Premier League last season despite losing their final fixture to Manchester United 1-0 thanks to a Darren Gibson goal.
