Huddersfield Town chairman Dean Hoyle is to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which spends £7,200 a year on flying two ambulances, by climbing on his bike for the first away game of next season.
Despite currently not knowing who the club's first away fixture in League One will be against next season, Hoyle has made the pledge in the name of charity.
He will find out his fate when the fixture list is announced on June 17th, with the likes of neighbours Leeds United a possible option, as is the 400-mile potential cycle to newly-promoted Exeter City.
The club's director of business development Sean Jarvis will join Hoyle on the ride, with the pair looking to gain £50,000 for the charity from the event.
Hoyle told the club's website: "It is a very worthy cause as it costs £7,200 to keep the two Yorkshire Air Ambulances up in the air and anything we can do to raise their profile is a good thing."
He added that Huddersfield Town supporters are also welcome to join in the "big challenge", which will be raising money for a "worthwhile cause".
Back in 1926, Huddersfield Town became the first team to win three league titles on the trot, which is something that only three teams have been able to match since.
