Fans of Ebbsfleet Town are to decide if the club should sell one of their players through a football survey conducted via the internet, it has emerged.

Striker Michael Gash could be potentially transferred to a fellow Blue Square Premier League club, but an internet vote is to decide if the move is completed.

The club is owned by subscription website MyFootballClub's 10,000 members and they will have the deciding say on whether the £30,000 deal goes through.

Gash signed for the club from Cambridge City for £20,000 last summer with the money raised by the members of the website and Ebbsfleet Town fans.

Members will have 72 hours to decide whether to sell last year's top scorer, whose contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

If Gash is sold, Cambridge City will receive 30 per cent of the figure as a result of the sell-on fee agreed with Ebbsfleet Town as part of the deal.

Meanwhile, members also have to come to a decision on whether to accept a £10,000 bid from York City for defender Darius Charles.
