Manchester United fans concerned about their tickets for the UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona after not receiving them in the post have been told that new tickets will be waiting for them in Rome.
The Manchester Evening News recently reported that some 216 of the tickets collected from Old Trafford by Royal Mail never reached the supporters who had paid for them.
However, these tickets have now been cancelled and replacement ones bearing an ID chip have been sent to the Stadio Olimpico to be picked up by the fans ahead of the match.
Lifelong supporter Julie Jarvis told the publication: "There are a lot of different situations where we have had to pick up tickets at away grounds.
"It was the same for the game against Aalborg in Denmark. It's no different for this game - except of course it's the Champions League final."
Manchester United beat Barcelona at the semi-final stage of the tournament last year, with Paul Scholes scoring the only goal at Old Trafford in a 1-0 aggregate win over two legs.
