Everton chief executive Robert Elstone is to table a motion to the Premier League after being unimpressed with the ticket allocations ahead of the FA Cup final.

Just over 25,000 tickets have been offered to both Everton and opponents Chelsea for the final, despite Wembley holding over 90,000 spectators.

Elstone believes that those with football sponsorship deals for the final would not be too disappointed if the competing clubs had their allocation upped by a small amount in the future.

He told BBC Radio Merseyside: "The fact that 40,000 people out of 90,000 don't care who wins or loses the final is disgraceful. I'm going to table a motion that looks to review and revise the allocation.

"I think to go to 30,000 per club would not mean too much pain for those people (the Football Association and corporate sponsors) to swallow that reduced allocation."

Elstone added that this rise would mean that virtually all of the supporters who regularly turn up to watch the club would be able to get a ticket for the match.

Everton qualified for the final after beating Manchester United on penalties in the semi-final, following a goalless 120 minutes.
