Three Ukrainian cities have been given until the end of November to prove that they are capable of hosting fixtures as part of Euro 2012.

Ukraine is pairing up with Poland to jointly host the tournament in three years time, but so far only its capital city Kiev has been deemed by UEFA to be a suitable location for games to be played.

Thus, the cities of Donetsk, Kharkiv and Lviv have been provided with a deadline of November 30th to prove that their venues meet the required standards of UEFA.

UEFA president Michel Platini said: "There are huge infrastructure problems to be resolved in Ukraine.

"Kiev is okay according to UEFA's criteria for all matches leading up to the semi-final."

Meanwhile, the Polish cities of Gdansk, Warsaw, Poznan and Wroclaw have been confirmed as suitable venues for the event.

Austria and Switzerland were the joint hosts of Euro 2008, with the final being held at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienn, where Spain beat Germany 1-0.
