Websites already selling FA Cup final tickets

Despite FA Cup final tickets still yet to be printed and allocated to the two teams involved, fans can already buy their seat for the showpiece on the internet, it has been revealed.

The BBC has discovered that the FA is currently investigating websites that are supposedly selling tickets to the final between Everton and Chelsea on May 30th.

However, although the tickets are yet to be physically printed, some websites are already charging more than £1,000 for a particular seat at the venue.

Furthermore, these sites are claiming that they are not doing anything illegal as they are based in Spain.

Peter Trenter of Chelsea Supporters Group told the BBC: "It's a common problem. Unofficial sites selling tickets at extortionate prices."

Selling on tickets is currently banned in the UK because of the fear that rival supporters could end up potentially sitting next to each other.

Phil Jagielka scored the winning penalty as Everton beat Manchester United in the semi-finals after the game had finished goalless after 90 minutes and extra time.
