Fans are being prevented from the thrills that come with the end of a football season because of staggered kick-off times caused by television companies, it has been stated.
Preston defender Sean St Ledger believes that fans have become upset because the drama that runs alongside the final games of the season is non-existent when particular important games kick-off either earlier or later than the majority.
He made the comment as Preston prepare for a late kick-off against Birmingham on Saturday, a game which could see them keep alive their chances of a play-off place if they win.
However, it is also possible that their fate of not making the play-offs cOULD already be sealed if the results of the games taking place earlier in the day go against them.
St Ledger told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It takes the drama away. It will affect us, Birmingham and other teams in the mix and it certainly does make a difference."
Preston are currently four points off of sixth spot the final play-off position with two games still remaining.
After travelling to St Andrews, Preston's final game of the season is at home to QPR.
