Southampton hero Matt Le Tissier revealed on Friday (April 3rd) that he would be more than willing to lend a hand to anyone who is intending to invest in the club, BBC Radio Solent reports.
The Saints, who currently occupy one of the relegation places in the Championship, are in dire financial straits after their holding company was placed in administration last week.
However, with the club's future hanging in the balance, Le Tissier - who achieved god-like status during his time on the south coast - has vowed to support any potential backers.
He told the news provider: "If there are any people out there who are interested and feel I might be able to help out then I'd be delighted.
"If there's something I can do to help the club in its present situation then I'm prepared to do anything it takes."
Le Tissier also urged fans to do everything in their power to support the club financially and ensure that it does not go to the wall.
A one-club man, the former England international scored 209 goals for Southampton between 1986 and 2002.
