Football Sponsors/ Sponsorship and Media
Manchester United's search for a future shirt sponsor has taken them to India, according to media reports.
The reigning English Premier League champions will see their current four-year deal with insurance specialists AIG terminate at the end of next season.
Now, reports have suggested that the club have approached Indian conglomerate the Tata Group with a shirt sponsorship proposal.
The move would help the club continue to expand its growth on a global scale and would follow on nicely from the current £56.4 million deal with the American giant.
A brand consultant from the Tata Group said: "There are various sponsorship options, one for the team shirt. This has been going on for some time but nothing has been finalised."
United sent another shirt sponsorship proposal to an Indian company when they contacted the Sahara Group in January.
As well as currently sitting on top of the English Premier League, the Red Devils are also still in the Champions League, where they will face Portugal's FC Porto over two legs in the quarter-finals.
