Hibernian seal new main sponsor

Hibernian FC have announced that they have secured a new shirt sponsorship for the next two years with a property investment firm.

The Scottish Premier League club have reached a deal with Edinburgh-based firm McEwan Fraser, who will act as the club's main sponsor and feature on their first team shirts from the start of next season.

According to the club's website, Scott Lindsay, chief executive of Hibernian FC, said: "This is a fantastic agreement for the club in what is a very challenging time for all business, not just Scottish football.

"With all areas of revenue under pressure, and in an increasingly competitive sponsorship market, we are delighted to have secured a main sponsor at a value that is in line with the levels previously enjoyed by the club."

The deal, which ends in June 2011, means that current sponsor Whyte & Mackay will no longer sponsor the club.

They leave at the end of the season after five years with Hibernian.

Hibernian have been on a four match unbeaten league run of late, in which time they have not conceded a goal.
