Sir Elton John has returned to the Watford fold after officially reassuming his position as honorary life president.
The Rocket Man was synonymous with the club during his time as chairman between the mid-1970s and mid-1980s and then again in the late 1990s until 2002, but resigned from his honorary life president role in November last year.
However, Sir Elton admitted in a statement released on the Watford website that he has not been able to forget about the Hornets as the club is "in his blood".
He has therefore decided to re-establish his ties with the club in a move which has the full backing of current chairman Jimmy Russo.
"He is as passionate a person, when it comes to Watford, as you would wish to meet and he has been fully supportive of myself, my brother Vince and, of course, the manager Brendan Rodgers," Mr Russo commented.
"The current board were very keen to re-engage with Sir Elton and we all see this as nothing but a positive move for the club, the supporters and Sir Elton John."
Watford currently lie 16th in the Championship table having flirted with relegation for much of the season.
