Bournemouth chief executive and director Alastair Saverimutto has resigned from his post with immediate effect, it was revealed today (March 12th).
Saverimutto, who joined the Cherries in July 2008 as a replacement for Lawrence Jones, worked alongside chairman Paul Baker to help drag the club out of administration in August.
However, he confirmed his departure in a statement on the League Two club's official website, while highlighting the tough nature of his time at the Fitness First Stadium.
He said: "My tenure at the club has certainly been tasking both on and off the field. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all the staff and I would like to thank them for all the hard work they have put in over the months."
Baker looks set to follow suit in the near future as he has agreed a deal with ex-chairman Jeff Mostyn and local businessman Adam Murry, who are heading a consortium to buy the club.
Harry Redknapp inspired the Cherries to arguably the most famous result in their history, beating Manchester United 2-0 in the 1984 FA Cup.
