Sheffield Wednesday announced on Saturday (March 7th) that they have secured a new six-year sponsorship deal with Puma, believed to be worth around £6 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, the global sportswear giant's logo will appear on all the Championship side's official playing and training kit from this summer until 2015.
The news represents a reigniting of the partnership between the two parties, who enjoyed an excellent relationship during the Owls' spell in the Premier League in the 90s.
Chairman Lee Strafford said: "I am delighted that we have been able to secure a deal with Puma to supply all official kits and training wear for the next six years.
"Having one of the biggest and best sportswear manufacturers in the world on board with Sheffield Wednesday again marks a partnership of real magnitude and Puma is a brand we are proud to be associated with."
Stafford added that the first Wednesday kits to be manufactured by Puma will go on sale featuring the Children's Hospital logo as part of another partnership developed by the club.
Sheffield Wednesday reached both domestic cup finals in 1993 but lost out on both occasions to Arsenal.
