Liverpool have signed a four-year extension to their commercial deal with the Bank of America, it was confirmed today (March 5th).

Under the terms of the agreement, which is believed to be worth £5 million, the company will be able to use the Reds' logo and take up corporate hospitality at Anfield.

The deal was brokered by Liverpool commercial director Ian Ayre, who is also believed to be working on three other deals with firms in the electronics, gaming and automotive sectors.

He said: "If you are going to build a business overseas a key part is to allow people to touch and feel the product on a regular basis.

"What is clear is that there is an opportunity for Liverpool to do much better than they had in the past."

Ayre is thought to be Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks' first choice to become chief executive at the club after Rick Parry announced that he will depart the post at the end of the season.

The Bank of America is the parent firm of Chester-based company MBNA, which supplies Liverpool fans with credit cards.
